Die Manosphere ist ein Zusammenspiel aus verschiedenen Gruppierungen wie beispielsweise Incel und Pick up artists, denen allen extreme Verachtung von Frauen als Basis ihrer Weltanschauung dient.
Der Vortrag soll einen Überblick bieten über die verschiedenen Strömungen des vor allem Online stattfindenden Phänomens und beschäftigt sich mit den Fragen welchen Einfluss neoliberale Versprechen von individuellem Erfolg auf die Manosphere haben, und welchen Rolle hegemoniale Männlichkeit dabei spielt.
Der Vortrag findet am 23.10. um 19 Uhr in der Sonnenstraße statt. Ort wird nach Anmeldung per Mail unter hopo@asta.fh-dortmund.de mitgeteilt.
The manosphere is an interplay of different groups such as Incel and Pick up artists, all of whom use extreme contempt for women as the basis of their world view.
The lecture will provide an overview of the various currents of this phenomenon, which mainly takes place online, and will deal with the questions of what influence neoliberal promises of individual success have on the manosphere and what role hegemonic masculinity plays in this.
